What do I need?
- Patience and understanding; veteran drivers will help you at each transfer point!
- Slip lead leash – at least one – can purchase through Critter Cabs
- Spare leashes / possibly collars – from $$$ store
- Poop bags (yes, they poop on transport!)
- Blankets or towels or seat protection (protect your vehicle)
- Cleaning supplies – paper towels, Lysol wipes, cleaner (accidents)
- Electric zip ties – get the long ones 9-12” (for securing crates)
- Water bowl (for when animals are permitted water on transport)
- Non-essential but useful – bungee cords, various sizes / duct tape
Where do I go? Who am I meeting? What time? Where are the details?
- Once approved on a “Run” you are added to a Messenger Chat Group
- The Chat starts the day before the actual Run
- You are asked to give your vehicle make model & plate # plus your cell phone #
- Rescues have until 6:00 pm the night before to add Pawsengers
- After this cut-off, a CC Coordinator will create a “Run Sheet” and share in Chat
- This is where you find out your specific details
- Details will be who you meet at each end of your “leg,” what vehicle they are driving, what passengers you have, what time you need to be at meet spots and an exact address for each meet spot
