I’m a new rescue to Critter Cabs
What do I need to know?
(New Rescue FAQ)

After your rescue has been approved for transport, you will work closely with one of our senior coordinators for the first couple of runs to ensure that you and your volunteers understand and are able to provide the information that we need.

Typically, we need

- a picture of the animal(s),
- anything we might need to know about the passenger (flight risk, bite risk, etc.)
- City of pickup
- City of drop off

We will then add the passengers to one of our four weekly runs and gather the drivers for it.

Typically, our “runs” are completed in 100 km “legs” by drivers running relay style. Each 100km or so, the drivers will deliver the animals to the driver for the next 100 km.

The night before your run, you will be added to a Facebook Messenger chat where we ask that you add whoever is dropping the animals off and whoever is meeting at the destination. We will need their Car info, plate, and cell number for our “run” sheets and for security reasons.

Then you can follow along as our drivers get your passengers to their destination!
